Anna my main goal is to really push these into a realm beyond illustration. Or to mine illustration and pop-art as a source for ideas for fine art. I'm wondering about: 1) dimension - the last two projects had a very flat feel. Is there a way we can open these up a bit more to push and pull space (as I mentioned in my project comments to you yesterday). 2) subject matter: If you want to reference pop and illustration/cartoons let's put that in a fine art context. See artists like Kenny Sharf, Ryan Travis Christian, The Clayton Brothers, or John Wesley for ideas. Instead of recreating things we already have seen before on tv or in advertisement, how can we use them as abstract visual elements to create something new and unexpected?
